In boarding for over 6 months!


Kia came to us from a high kill shelter in Southern Il. She is aprox 3-4 years old. This is a very sweet girl that loves all people and kids! Kia can be selective with her dog friends and NO CATS can be allowed. Kia is looking for a foster family, she does not like being in a boarding facility, but we had to place her there to save her life. She just wants to be in a home with people and kids and to be loved and give love. Will you consider fostering or adopting her? She is fully vetted/spayed/microchipped. She also walks great on a leash! She is currently boarding in a kennel in West Chicago. Plus just look at her, she's a model!

So what are the requirements for fostering and or adopting Kia? 

• No cat household
• If the household has dogs, she will need to be introduced slowly. 
• Needs to be in a home with kids. 
• Needs someone who is more active then not. 

Kia's boarding expenses are high and we need to start paying them down. This way she doesn't lose boarding too. Please consider donating if you can not foster or adopt.

What About Me?

What About Me? Is a group of animal rescuers located in and around Chicago, IL. We are looking for forever homes or even foster homes for urgent dogs that have been in boarding and kennels for far too long.

The dogs you see listed were once urgent. You helped save their lives. However now that they were given the right to live, they eventually will lose the will.

When a rescue saves a dog it doesn't mean that he/she has a home. It means they are safe. If the person who offered to adopt/foster backs out, that dog goes into boarding or a kennel until they find a foster home. So many dogs need saved and foster homes are limited.

Each dog has it's own character. Like humans. Some can't be housed with cats. Some can't be housed with other dogs. Some prefer women. Some prefer men. Some are old and just want a lazy older household.

Either way. Unless they find a temporary home, they are placed behind bars with cold floors. There is NOTHING WRONG with these dogs. They simply are lonely and scared. They need someone willing to share a home with them. Even if only for a short time.

When you foster you don't pay a penny! The rescue pays for all supplies (food, leashes, collars, medical, training, ect.) All you have to do is open up your home and a little spare time.

Before you adopt you can always foster to see if it is a good fit.

These babies are scared and lonely and need love.
